Beerfest Asia celebrates its 10th anniversary with great beer and entertainment from 30 August to 2 September as an appreciation to beer enthusiasts from local and overseas at the best version ever – Beerfest Asia 2018 X Edition.
Beer lovers and visitors can look forward to a four-day jamboree of many new features on beers and programme. Beerfest Asia 2018 will be held at The Meadow at Gardens by the Bay, which is a brand new and largest venue ever. Featuring four tents of music and booze in an area of 22,00sqm, the venue is easily accessible from Bayfront MRT station and ample parking space at Meadow carpark. Three out of the Four tents will be air-conditioned so festive goers won’t have to worry about wet weather.
There will be over 600 beers – the widest range of local and international beers, new launches and all-time award winners – the best showcase not only for the consumers but also for the regional trade. More than 200 different new labels will be making its Singapore debut at Beerfest Asia 2018, including but not limited to; Gwei Lo from Hong Kong, Brick by Brick from Lithuania, Abashiri from Japan. Beer connoisseur can also expect to taste limited quantity brews like The Fringe Project range by Brewlander, Schneider Weisse Aventinus Vintage range by Beer Cellar.
To mark the celebration of being 10 years in the trade, a series of Birthday Beers was specially concocted and brewed by breweries not only in Singapore but around the world. Only available at Beerfest Asia, look out for the special brews by Archipelago, Paulaner Brauhaus, Red Dot Brewery & 1925 Brewing Co from Singapore, Moondog Brewery from Australia, Stonehead Brewery from Vietnam and Gosnell Mead from UK.
Look out for the highly appraised Asia Beer Award winning beers at the festival too. Asia Beer Awards features 13 categories and 3 trophy prizes, the winning beers are assessed by a panel of 20 judges comprising of BJCP certified judges and esteemed brewers.
Beerfest Asia 2018’s entertainment program is as exciting as its beer menu with over 30 live acts, consisting of DJs and renowned international and local bands. Keeping true to Beerfest’s tradition of good music, you can experience riveting live performances by our all-time favourite tribute bands – Killer Queen (Queen Tribute), The U2 Show Achtung Baby (U2 Tribute) and Viva Coldplay (Coldplay Tribute), inviting everyone to sing along to their classic tunes.
Known for their unique interpretation of top 40 tunes, local favourites Supersonic, Rock Rosette, SweatShop Jam, Welcome To The Machine, Unified and Raw Earth are set to take the stage by storm. Curated by Timbre Group, the festival stage will also serve as a platform for up and coming local musicians to take the stage, treating the audience with original compositions on Sunday with Overhear Singapore and Annual Beerfest Blues and Rock Jam.
As the night falls, Beerfest Asia summons the city’s female DJs from Altra Mgmt to spin out their best feat of the crowd favourites that promises to get people off the benches and on to the dance floor.
Foodies will be spoiled for choices in the expanded gastronomy experience at this year’s edition, from Western to Asians to local Singapore delights. The wickedly curated list of food vendors entailing the likes of No Signboard, 25 Degrees, Char, Morganfields, Easyeggs, The 1925 Brewing Co., Be Frank, Brewerks, Shiso, Uni Gallery and the list goes on. You will be lining your stomach with a warm and hearty meal before, after and whilst sampling some of the finest beers the world has to offer.
Beerfest Asia will transform into a carnival ground on Sunday 2 September, with entries for children and pets. Understanding the need to unwind with friends but not forgetting the babysitting commitment, the festival ground will be added with carnival game stalls and inflatables bouncers for the underage. A regular entry pass is require for child above 12YO.
earn all about beer at our beer workshop sessions across four days with different brew masters and brand ambassadors guiding on the nuances in between different types of brews as well as how to brew the perfect beer from home. The beer workshop sessions are free of charge to festival goers but pre-registration on the festival website is encouraged.
Look out for the humorous and entertaining acts by live stand-up comedians from The Comedy Club. Special feature on trending topics by famous comedians from Singapore, Malaysia, Australia and New Zealand.
