Chinese New Year (CNY) celebrations have landed at Changi Airport, bringing festive cheer to passengers and visitors with an abundance of retail and dining offers. Whether it‟s enjoying a scrumptious reunion dinner at one of Changi Airport‟s many restaurants, or shopping for CNY goodies, Changi Airport CNY Celebrations is the paw-fect destination to usher in the festivities. From now until 2 March, you get to collect adorable Limited edition Sanrio-themed Red Packets. Simply spend a minimum of S$60 (S$80 for supermarket purchases) in a maximum two same-day receipts in Changi Airport to redeem one set. They are available in a set of 8 and feature Hello Kitty and her friends such as My Melody, Little Twin Stars and Gudetama. Changi Rewards members get an additional pack if they pay by Mastercard.
In true festive spirit, Changi Airport will be beautifully decorated with plenty of prime photo spots at 14 main festival gardens across the four terminals. You can take a photo with the airport‟s very own lovable larger-than-life dog topiaries! Meet dog family, Lucky, Joy and Happy (located in Terminal 2, Departure Hall)
and the Healthy Puppy, Pinky, made of pink carnations (located in Terminal 3 Departure Hall and Terminal 1, Transit Central Piazza).
Special trees featured along with the topiaries include 5 metres-tall Poodle Cut Gold Coin Fortune Trees, surrounded by Poodle Cut Bonsai Trees and Lollipop Bonsai Trees, as well as a lush display of flora and fauna comprising orange trees, pussy willows, cherry blossoms and other seasonal flowers. Give your reunion dinner a new twist and dine at the Hello Kitty Orchid Garden Café (Terminal 3). Passengers who want to take a little piece of Singapore with them before they depart should look out for pushcarts featuring homegrown brands such as House of Seafood and Old Village Pu Er Tea at the Terminal 2 transit area from now to 24 February. Each pushcart offers yummy and unique local goodies, from homemade artisanal snacks and CNY delicacies to microwaveable chilli crab and traditional Chinese tea.
You will be thrilled to know that more than 75% of shops at Changi Airport are open throughout the CNY period.
