Grains & Hops Restaurant and Bar offers nine varieties of its signature rice bowls featuring grilled Angus beef, roasted Kurobuta pork collar, miso salmon and other seafood and vegetarian options. Helmed by Chef Calvin Ow, a local rising culinary star with over 19 years of experience, Grains & Hops Restaurant and Bar lets you experience the different flavours of Asia.
Chef Calvin began his culinary career in 1997 where he became acquainted with daily kitchen food operations. Soon realising his true passion for creating food, Chef Calvin’s first foray as a trainee cook at Meritus Mandarin Hotel Singapore saw the birth of his professional career. He has since contributed his talent to countless other highly acclaimed kitchens in Singapore, including those at The Ritz-Carlton Millenia, M Hotel, The Fullerton Hotel, and Park Hotel Orchard. He was also a finalist for the “Most Promising Chef” (Western Cuisine) in the Biennial Hospitality Asia Platinum Awards 2006 – 2007. With numerous accolades to his credit, he has been featured in various columns from sharing his food recipes to receiving positive feedback from food critics.
