Grand Hyatt Singapore New Year’s Eve Celebrations invites you to party and dine in style by going back to the vibrant eighties with five different buffets on Sunday, 31 December 2017, and a “Back to the 80s – Discotech” countdown party at the heart of the hotel. Transformed to revive the spirit of the decade, the hotel lobby will be outfitted to host the night’s dancefloor, where diners of the hotel’s New Year’s Eve buffet dinners can groove to the best eighties disco tunes and indulge in an exquisite dessert extravaganza and free-flowing champagne from 9.30pm till late. No celebration is complete without a visit to mezza9. Almost every imaginable craving will be satisfied with a thoughtfully sourced buffet spanning every theatre kitchen, including Chinese, Japanese, Thai and Western cuisines. Highlights include slow roasted Cape Grim Angus standing rib, braised bungalow pork cheeks, assorted sustainable caviar and sashimi, Chinese steamed red garoupa, Thai-style honey & tamarind marinated chicken skewers and more.

A taste of nostalgia will be found in the rustic trattoria settings of Pete’s Place. Kick-start the New Year celebrations by tucking into hearty Italian fare such as a mozzarella bar, slow- roasted porchetta with garlic and herb, wood-roasted whole sea bream with fennel and dill flowers, handcrafted pastas and wood-fired pizza.

For an alfresco locale, diners can opt to dine at Oasis. The poolside restaurant’s barbecue dinner will fire up selections such as spice-rubbed slow roasted beef brisket, 48-hour slow braised barbecue short ribs and more. Other offerings include a sustainable seafood bar with freshly shucked rock oysters and poached Spencer Gulf king prawns.
