Sheraton Towers Singapore celebrates the Mid-Autumn Festival with a resplendent curation of traditional baked and contemporary snowskin mooncakes handcrafted to perfection by the culinary team of award-winning Li Bai Cantonese Restaurant. Unveiling two new exciting flavours in the line-up this year, it comprises Li Bai Mooncakes 2021 that are made with the finest ingredients will be available from 11 August to 21 September 2021.
Tastefully encased in a one-tier treasure trove, the new premium packaging features a gorgeous 3D paper-cut against a backdrop of floating sky lanterns, complemented with an exclusive instrumental piece performed by young musicians from The Business Times Budding Artists Fund (BT BAF). In addition to the premium box, limited edition regenerated nylon bags ($15) that are in line with the hotel’s sustainability efforts, will also be available in limited quantity for purchase, making it an ideal add-on to perfect the gifting experience.
New this year to Li Bai’s traditional baked signatures, the White Lotus Seed Collagen Paste with Single Egg Yolk mooncake ($80) is enhanced with the addition of collagen which is beneficial for skin health. Other quintessential mooncakes in the baked series include the White Lotus Seed Paste with Double Egg Yolk ($80), Mini Salted Egg Custard ($80) as well as White Lotus Seed Paste with Macadamia Nut ($72).
In addition to the all-time favourite snowskin mooncakes – Mini Snowskin Champagne ($72), Mini Snowskin Lychee Martini ($72) and Mini Snowskin Sea Salt Truffle Dark Chocolate ($72), Li Bai has curated a new flavour. The new Mini Snowskin Brown Sugar Mochi ($72) is an indulgent creation reminiscent of the well-loved brown sugar bubble tea, featuring brown sugar filling that is generously studded with chewy mochi bits.
A special collaboration between Sheraton Towers Singapore and young musicians from BT BAF will unravel an exclusive instrumental piece within an exquisite premium box for the purchase of mooncakes this Mid-Autumn. The music captures the beauty of traditional essences within a modern-day setting through the use of instruments such as the keyboard and guitar. The tune is light-hearted and jovial, and it warmly invites all to participate in the celebration of the Mid-Autumn Festival.
Operating on the belief that no child, regardless of personal circumstances, should be denied the opportunity to pursue the arts, the Business Times Budding Artists Fund (BT BAF) has to date, empowered over 20,000 financially disadvantaged children and youth, through a variety of programmes including a structured arts training programme, arts camps, workshops and signature events.
