Singapore Marriott Tang Plaza Hotel Lunar New Year Feasts 2022

According to Chinese tradition and beliefs, the tossing of Yu Sheng will bring forth a year oozing with good luck, prosperity and wealth. This Spring Festival, Wan Hao Chinese Restaurant is enhancing the onslaught of good fortune with not one but six types of Yu Sheng that will cater to a diversity of taste buds. Toss to an auspicious year with a choice of the luxurious and novel Lobster, Swordfish, Hokkaido Scallop, Sea Urchin, Caviar, Salmon Roe & Crispy Fish Skin Yu Sheng (Large: $268++), or opt for their best-selling Mini Abalone & Crispy Fish Skin Yu Sheng (Large: $158++, Small: $88++) and Salmon & Crispy Fish Skin Yu Sheng (Large: $128++, Small: $68++).

There is a Yu Sheng for everyone. If raw food is not for you, indulge in the new Boston Lobster (Cooked) & Caviar Yu Sheng (Large: $188++, Small: $108++) or Smoked Duck Breast & Crispy Fish Skin Yu Sheng (Large: $128++, Small: $68++). Alternatively, kick start your new year in a healthy way with their vegetarian Pear & Avocado Yu Sheng (Large: $128++, Small: $68++). Instead of the traditional sauce, you are pampered with a choice of their new Kumquat Pineapple Sauce that will enchant with a sweet yet refreshing and zesty kick. Kumquat and pineapple also symbolise fortune and wealth – perfect for the festivities and conveying blessings for a prosperous year ahead. Crispy fish skin is also added to the Yu Sheng for that gratifying crunch and texture.

The spring festival is about celebrating a new harvest and reuniting with your loved ones, and Pen Cai which is steeped in symbolism of goodness represents the very essence of it. In the spotlight is the Wan Hao Imperial Pot of Prosperity Pen Cai ($688++/4 to 6 persons) / ($1088++/8 to 10 persons) that is suitable for the whole family. Steeped in the symbolism of goodness and auspicious meanings, this pot of prosperity boasts three layers of 14 luxuriant ingredients cooked to perfection and served communal-style in a festive casserole hot pot. Labouring over the stove for a few days to create the perfect Lunar New Year delicacy, the richly flavoured, the quality stock boasts Chinese ham, old chicken, scallop and more. It is also brimming with collagen and nutrition.

Culinary delicacies specially selected to enrich the Lunar New Year include the 3-Head Australian Abalone, Marinated Free-Range Chicken; Crispy Dried Oyster, Goose Feet, Whole Pork Trotter Sea Cucumber, Fish Maw, Conpoy, Black Moss Dace Fish Paste, Baby Chinese Cabbage, Black Moss, White Radish, Beancurd Skin and Broccoli.
