One year after its introduction, the Tablescape kitchen refreshes its Tablescape Afternoon Tea set. The new menu is now available for both delivery and takeaway, with a plethora of delicious dainties created to surprise and delight.
New sweet treats include a Velvet Cheese Mousse, an airy cloud that perfectly balances on the knife-edge between sweet and savoury; an Almond Torte, rich and fragrant; and mini Chocolate Hazelnut Éclairs that are must-haves for any true lover of gianduja or Nutella.
New savouries include mini sandwiches of egg mayo and black truffle, choux pastry buns stuffed with chicken, kale and onions as well as a creamy Foie Gras, Nectarine and Pistachio Tartlet, sweetly savoury; and a daring Sable Bréton bite topped with bresaola, crème fraiche and gherkins.
Regulars, fret not: the dramatic #apple&rosemarytart remains on the afternoon tea menu, as well as the delicious house-baked array of scones, Sesame Brioche and the flavoured house-churned butters. The Afternoon Tea also continues to include your choice from a lovely selection of coffee and Clipper 1872 teas.
The Afternoon Tea also comes in a glamorous new takeaway packaging. Once the cover is lifted, a three-storey tower adorned with cakes, tarts and little bites on every side – akin to the classic tiered cake stands – is finally unveiled.
The graceful self-standing tower means that the set is ready to be served; perfect for a small get-together, or even for the most harum-scarum of ladies who want to create an intimate interlude with mum.
There’s no better time than now, and no better reason.
