Its latest and second outlet located within the departmental store, BHG in Bugis Junction, is a 35-seater restaurant that provides respite for shoppers and café dwellers seeking refreshments. An idyllic spot with floor-to-ceiling windows looking out to the vibrant Downtown Core area, the new Marmalade Pantry Petite Bugis outlet is perfect for people-watching or catchups.
Relish new and exclusive offerings such as redolent tarts of fruit, nut, and chocolate fillings; crisp and fluffy waffles; salads, sandwiches, and social media-worthy beverages; as well as the Petite Afternoon Tea Set. Synonymous with creative and delicious gift options, a dedicated retail corner is decked out with The Marmalade Pantry merchandise, gourmet snacks, and baked goodies.
The Marmalade Pantry has long been recognised as one of the first in Singapore to popularise the ubiquitous frosted cupcake. Garnering years of experience in handcrafting these baked delights, the bistro has expanded its repertoire of sweets to showcase two new tempting highlights at its latest Petite outlet – tarts and waffles.
Handcrafted by The Marmalade Pantry’s in-house pâtissier, the all-new tart selection features four flavours ($8.50+ each) – Passionfruit Meringue, Chocolate Ruby, Lychee Rose, and Pecan. Baked fresh daily, these classic bakes are prepared with a buttery and crisp shortcrust pastry tart shell.
The Passionfruit Meringue enamours with a smooth and tangy passionfruit curd and atop, a lightly torched meringue adorned with edible gold flakes. With a chocolate tart shell base, chocolate lovers will take to the Chocolate Ruby, filled with rich dark chocolate cremeux and ruby chocolate ganache, and dark chocolate shavings. Fruity and floral is the Lychee Rose, generously piped with a mascarpone cheese filling before juicy lychee is added. A petite rendition of the rustic pie, Pecan comprises toasted pecans, whole hazelnuts, and an apricot glaze gel. Revisit the well-loved Marmalade Cupcakes ($6+ each) in flavours such as Jaffa Chocolate and Pistachio Raspberry Rose, as well as sliced cakes and pies like The Marmalade Carrot Cake and Chocolate Banana Banoffee Pie.
The Marmalade Pantry Petite’s Belgian-style Waffles ($10.90+ each) comes in six sweet and savoury flavours. Amongst the line-up, the Strawberries & Cream is a crowd-pleasing waffle topped with French vanilla ice cream, strawberry sauce, fresh strawberries, and blueberries. The aromatic Affogato is accompanied by French vanilla ice cream, whipped cream dusted with chocolate powder, and for a kick of caffeine, a shot of espresso on the side to pour-over.
Striking the perfect balance of sweet and savoury, the Zucchini & Cheddar is a scrumptious cheesy waffle served with sour cream and maple sauce on the side, while the Korean Spicy Chicken packs a punch with crispy chicken cutlet and piquant Gochujang chilli sauce, alongside a mesclun salad.
Also on the menu are other new signatures including salads and sandwiches. For a wholesome meal on its own, tuck into a flavoursome Chilli Lime Prawn with Fusilli ($12+) salad, or the Quinoa Chicken ($12+) – a vivid and bright salad of baby spinach leaves, sous vide chicken breast, quinoa, diced cucumbers, pumpkin seeds, dried cranberries, and zesty lemon dressing.
Take a pick from four hearty sandwiches ($9.90+ each), such as the Truffle Egg Mayo Croissant and the simple but delicious Ham & Cheese Multigrain Toast packed with turkey ham, cheddar cheese and sliced tomatoes. All sandwiches are served with a mesclun salad.
Unwind and indulge in the Petite Afternoon Tea Set ($54+, good for two persons), featuring a resplendent collection of new and signature treats exclusive to the Bugis Petite outlet. A smorgasbord of flavours awaits with new items like the Taro Swiss Roll, Korean Spicy Chicken Burgers, bite-sized Prawn Crostinis, and mini–Truffle Egg Mayo Sandwich. Greeting diners at the entrance is a terrazzo countertop, and an eye-catching glass display of tempting cakes, cupcakes, and tarts to whet the appetite. The space is airy and bright with floor-to-ceiling windows.
Accommodating up to 35 persons, there is a variety of seating available: black marble-top tables with rattan bistro-style chairs or armchairs, as well as a high wooden island table with bar chairs.
